The IRODDI Project has been able to demonstrate that industrial models based on the bioeconomy can work successfully.
To this end, it focused on:
- The integral revaluation of deodorisation distillates: a by-product obtained in edible vegetable oil refining processes
This has made it possible to:
- Replacing fossil fuel-derived components from different industries (cosmetics, industrial cleaning, adhesives…) with bio-based raw materials.
- Contributing to the circular economy, giving new use to previously waste materials
- Improving the environmental impact of industrial products by reducing emissions
- Modernising and strengthening industrial value chains in the European Union
